This sketch was made in May 2018 during the "We are painting the Pokrovsky (Intercession) Cathedral" campaign. We finished our work, handed it over and sat waiting for the announcement of the results, whose work is the best. While waiting, I sketched two sketches of Red Square.
In the center is the Historical Museum, founded in 1872. The building on Moscows Red Square was built in 1875-1883 by the architect Sherwood, who managed to create an exemplary example of the "Russian style" - style russe, popular in the second half of the 19th century in Russia.
On the left you can see the silhouette of one of the towers of the Moscow Kremlin, I think, Nikolskaya. On the far right is the silhouette of the hotel building, which used to be called "Moscow".
