Drawing of little female figurine, estimated to have been made around 25,000-30,000 years ago. Found during excavations near Willendorf, a village in Lower Austria, and named after it. It is carved from an limestone that is not local to the area, and tinted with red ochre. There are two versions about the origin of this limestone: the vicinity of Lake Garda in Italy, or eastern Ukraine. Now in the Natural History Museum in Vienna, Austria.
