Biography

Alexey Leonidovich Zhukov was born to the family of an artist in Rustavi Georgia in 1964. His ability to drawing showed already in his early childhood. He won first prizes at the local and republican competitions. In 1979 Alexey finished the Art school. In 1987 – the Art college named after Тоidzе in Tbilisi. In 1988 - preliminary courses at the Academy of Arts in Tbilisi. After the known events in Tbilisi in April 1989 he was compelled to leave Georgia with his family. Since 1992 he lives in Yaroslavl. Zhukov works in different genres of drawing and painting: portraits, nudes, still-lives, landscapes. Prefers techniques alla prima.Actively participates in many exhibitions. The artist’s paintings are in private collections in Russia and abroad
