Biography

Biography.
Lara San (Larisa Milovanova) was born in the Russian Far East. As a very young girl, she was captivated by the paintings of artist Evgeny Korolenko (a family friend).

Lara graduated from the Khabarovsk Institute of Culture. She then continued her studies at the International School of Design in Moscow. She studied painting and drawing simultaneously.

Since 2006, she has been professionally involved in interior and landscape design. While studying in London in 2007 with a group of designers, Lara encountered the botanical illustrations of the artist from the Royal Garden. These works made a strong impression on her. Therefore, after the trip, a series of works in this meditative technique was born. Literally, the silence of the soul flows through these works.

The next stage in the development of her artistic talent was an internship in France with painting teacher Ivan Stenin in 2011. After this trip, painting became Lara's primary source of design inspiration. Many works were created for specific interiors and remained on the walls as Lara's unique signature. Interior concepts were inspired by the work of artists such as Piet Mondrian, Claude Monet, and M.C. Escher, and their works were combined with the designer's creations. In 2007, after London, Lara took up fusing seriously. A commission immediately arrived for a large stained-glass window for the grand staircase of the Central Department Store in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Lara managed the project and participated in its execution. In 2011, Lara painted her first oil paintings, depicting the sea and flowers. Constantly learning from renowned masters, Lara continues to explore her creative path.

In 2015, from July 15-22, Lara participated in the online exhibition "Brilliant Art" at the "Infinity" gallery, which was held at the Central House of Artists in Moscow. That same year, from October 23-25, she was also fortunate to participate in the Art Shopping exhibition at the Louvre in Paris, together with the Infinity Gallery.

In 2020, Lara underwent significant changes in her life: a move and a career change. She is now a professional psychologist, art therapist, and a member of the Professional Psychotherapeutic League. Using drawing and other techniques, she helps people reclaim their true selves.

Painting continues to be a lifelong and creative path for Lara, an artist.

But now her work is taking on new, profound meanings. She works with people and understands how tired they are of inner tension. In 2020, Lara wrote a book about the relationship between a mother and daughter, illustrating it entirely herself.

Since 2020, for four years, Lara has been teaching group neurographics classes, teaching people to create their own reality through drawing.

In 2023, Lara created her own deck of metaphorical cards using a neural network, which has helped many people find important personal answers to their questions.
Lara now delights in creating her new conceptual works about the meaning of life and her relationship with oneself and the kind world around her. Her name is Lara Sun, which completely reflects her attitude toward people, expressing unconditional acceptance and understanding to the world, warming everyone who comes into contact with her work.
