Biography
Yulia Pri (Iulia Prihodko) is an artist working in the field of figurative, naïve, and contemporary folk art. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the Lviv Academy of Arts, where during her studies she actively worked with watercolor and classical still lifes. For six years, Yulya worked as an illustrator before turning to painting as a slower, more embodied form of artistic expression. Today, she creates small-scale acrylic paintings on canvas, using a red underpainting and bold contrasting color combinations. Inspired by the works of Henri Rousseau and David Hockney, the artist depicts nature, mountains, enlarged flowers, and animals. Flying and leaping figures become symbols of time, while the paintings themselves form a space for feeling, slowing down, and contemplating the beauty of everyday life.
