Biography
Marina Sergeevna Volkova - Russian artist. Born in Moscow in 1969. Graduated from Moscow Art School No. 75 in 1975. Worked as a painter and graphic artist. Subsequently, she obtained a second art education by graduating from the Icon Painting School at the Church of St. Zosima and Sabbatius in Moscow, receiving a diploma as an icon painter.
The artist's creative range is quite broad, spanning from easel painting to book illustration. In terms of stylistic directions: early work includes surrealist primitivism and even Suprematism, progressing to Impressionism. Currently, she works exclusively in Impressionism.
Participant in International and Russian art exhibitions.
In the early 2000s, she collaborated with the auction house "Gelos." In 2011, she illustrated the book "Red Casanova" for Accent Graphics Communications, Montreal.
The artist's works are held in private collections in the USA, Canada, France, and Russia.
