Biography

Born in the cultural capital of Russia, Saint Petersburg, I have been immersed in the world of art, travel and creativity since childhood. My father, a musician, and our nanny, a teacher of French language and art, nurtured my love for beauty: we often went to museums, listened to lectures and visited exhibitions. I graduated from a music school in piano and later studied guitar for several years, and I continue to play, composing my own songs.

After studying hotel management in Switzerland, I fulfilled a long‑standing dream and spent six months working at a five‑star hotel in French Polynesia. Travels to 67 countries around the world—from the tropical landscapes of Polynesia to the sacred sites of Tibet and the kora around Mount Kailash—became a powerful source of inspiration and inner transformation. The experiences of these journeys and my inner path have shaped my worldview and artistic language.

An interesting detail of my biography is connected with the Roerich family: during pregnancy my mother read books by Svyatoslav Roerich and named me after him. This probably deepened my interest in philosophy, psychology, sociology, astrology, mysticism and esotericism. Since 2012 I have been studying and practising various spiritual traditions: many years of Reiki practice as a Reiki Master, work with the Sacred Mayan Calendar Tzolkin, Jyotish astrology, as well as meditation practices and traditions such as the Great Arcana of Tarot, mantra meditation, the European Tree of Sephirot tradition, yoga and other paths.

During the 2020 pandemic I returned to painting and completed training at an art school in Saint Petersburg. This is how the ABASHKIN Art project was born—the “world of the art of energies”.

My works are energetically and emotionally charged paintings and amulets created in meditative states. They unite the experience of travel, spiritual practices and observation of inner human states. I call my style “Art of Energies”, where colour, texture and symbols act as conduits of energy, states and meaning.

My creative philosophy resonates with Winston Churchill’s phrase: “My tastes are simple: I am easily satisfied with the best.” In art I strive for the same standard—for honesty and depth of states and energies. Like a bee flying from flower to flower collecting nectar to create its unique honey, I explore sacred knowledge and practices to find truth and share it through my art.

My mission is to bring fragments of truth, positive vibrations, beauty and wisdom into the world through emotionally rich artworks that transform space and awaken the viewer’s consciousness, supporting inner change and reminding us of the connection between human beings and the world of energy and spirit.
