Biography
MARINA PETROVA (27.11.1967, Sverdlovsk region) - painting/abstraction, expressionism, mixed technique. She lives in Moscow.
She is a member of the Russian Union of Artists and the European Union of Artists.
She is a self-taught artist. She started doing applied art as a child and gradually moved on to painting. Now, she confidently combines different styles and techniques in her works, depending on the concept and theme.
Now the artist is actively selling her works throughout the country, working with design companies, profitable houses in several cities of the country.
In his work explores the idea of life and death, the possibility of transition to other worlds and states, about the good and eternal - about loyalty and love. Favorite themes - abstraction, the world of women, psychological / metaphysical themes. The most preferred colors - red, black, blue. Loves pure, bright, saturated colors.
Her visual language combines elements of realism, symbolism, mythological motifs, and references to the practices and techniques of surrealism and abstraction.
Marina Petrova is a participant and winner of competitions in Russia and abroad, a curator and organizer of international exhibition projects, a philanthropist who supports and promotes talent, and the author of the online workshop "Artist Packaging". She is also a speaker and mentor.
