Biography
Alexander Sergeyevich Yakovlev (b. November 22, 1993, Yevpatoria, Crimea). A self‑taught artist, I have been mastering painting through specialized online courses. Since 2023, I have been a member of the Russian Artists’ Union. I work as an engineer.
I paint primarily in acrylic. My work combines landscapes (on any theme—from tranquil rural scenes to dynamic urban vistas) with portraits, in which I strive to convey not only likeness but also the mood and character of the subject.
I love experimenting with texture and color; I draw inspiration from both classical landscape masters and contemporary illustrators. Through my art, I aim to reveal the harmony between humans and the surrounding world, as well as a range of emotional states—from serenity to subtle melancholy.
My plans include deepening my impasto technique, creating a themed series of landscapes for online exhibitions, and presenting my work for the first time in a group show.
