Biography

From early childhood, drawing occupied Olga more than other types of art. At age 7, she went to art school, where there was a special emphasis on drawing from life, especially during summer plein air paintings. “I was impressed by the beauty of the various states of the day, year, and the richness of southern nature. This is where my love for plein air painting and nature came from.” At the age of 14, Olga finally chose her professional and life path - she decided to become an artist. In her 3rd year of college, she was able to go plein air to Lake Baikal for the whole summer. “Camping and tent life gave me the opportunity to contemplate the variability of nature even more deeply and attentively, to enter into its rhythm.” After this summer, Olga decided to become a plein air landscape artist.
Olga works in different techniques: watercolors, oil and dry pastels, colored pencil, but the main one is oil painting. She enjoys painting all natural landscapes, but mountains have become a particular passion. The artist painted the Eastern Sayans, Khamar-Daban, Western Sayans, and for the last two summers she worked in the Caucasus Mountains. “For now, because of my studies, I can only travel and paint in the summer, but in the future I want to work plein air in the mountains all year round.”
In landscapes, the artist is interested in conveying the state of the time of day, weather, and season. “The same place at different times gives rise to different sensations, images, impressions. In the mountains I am amazed by their majesty, sometimes harsh and wild, sometimes solemn..."
Olga is inspired by mountains, instrumental music, other artists and their creativity. They also help her develop: “when I communicate with other artists, follow the development of their creativity, in my works I begin to see how I can do better, reach a more professional level, I learn from them not to be afraid to experiment.”
Olga writes in the style of realism. The main thing in her works is not the transfer of similarities with the depicted object, but the impressions, emotions and images that she receives from a specific state of nature. Color also plays an important role in her works: with the help of it, the artist conveys mood.
In 2021, she participated in the exhibition “Love for the Fatherland is Above Life,” Krasnoyarsk.
In 2022, she participated in the following exhibitions: “Peter the Great” in St. Petersburg, “Image of Peter the Great” in Moscow, “Yenisei Province” in Krasnoyarsk.
In 2023, she participated in the “Colorful Palette” exhibition, Krasnoyarsk, and held two personal exhibitions: “Journey to the Land of Mountains” and “My Dagestan” in Krasnoyarsk.
