Biography

My name is Julia, I prefer to work with watercolor – such a special and flowing, enigmatic and headstrong art tool.
I was born in Nizhniy Novgorod in 1987.
Being born in central Russia, with cold winters and grey autumns, I feel gravitating to the vivid nature of warm places, full of sun, rich greenery, amazing sea and magical sky.

In a few words, the mood and the main motive of my creativity can be described in a couple of lines:

Painting with warm colors of summer
Sea, palm trees, sunsets, sunrises…

Finding words, better describing my art, people often say “serene”.
That is really what I want to convey through paintings, because I think, nowadays in modern world full of big information flow, aggressive mass media, high speeds, we are lacking such peaceful and serene moments, when we can just stop, make a deep breath and feel connection with nature, to see its endless beauty. Open eyes, see the world around you.

My idea is that magic dance of brush strokes on paper ends up with the story. The story of your impression of the artwork, something that it awakes in your memory, heart and soul. Then art is getting personal value, it becomes precious much more then just an interior decor.

I am a member of the Union Watercolor Russia, a member of the IWS (International Watercolor Society).
My works are in private collections in Russia, Europe, India.

I participated in various international and Russian exhibitions, competitions, in particular, won prizes:
