Biography
Irina Aleksandrovna Fomina was born in Moscow on December 17, 1962. She started drawing at the age of two.
School teachers noted her outstanding abilities. During her school years, she studied individually with Vasily Pavlovich Zaluzhsky. She studied academic drawing and watercolor still life.
In 1993, she graduated from the courses of wood painting (Khokhloma, Severnaya Dvina, Gorodets). She worked as a mural artist. She painted utensils, cutting boards, furniture, walls. She developed her own style of painting, combining folk elements and modern decorative images.
In 2011, she became interested in painting household items (phones, fountain pens, table lamps, planters, doors, etc.) in the style of realism.
In 2018, she became interested in oil painting.
In 2020, she completed a Master's Degree in Painting online at the Oil Painting School (St. Petersburg).
She developed her own style in painting, which belongs to the direction of "fabulous realism". I chose a natural color scheme. In many works, the influence of Flemish painting is visible.
