Biography

Education:

1981-1986 Studies in Voronezh Art College from Russia.

Events:

I was born in Ostrogozhsk in 1962.
At the age of nine, I moved to Voronezh.
In 1986 I graduated from the Voronezh Art College.
In the nineties, I was a regular participant in Moscow salons - "Children of the Arbat" and "Three Houses". I took part in foreign exhibitions, including in Paris.
In the two thousandths, I became interested in painting on the walls and devoted seven years to this business.
In 2013, I published my first novel "Free Flight by Rail".
And I'm a member of the Russian Illustrator Community.

Natalya Strizh is called a rebellious artist. They offer the viewer lyrical symbolism, unrestrained expressionism, and subtle psychologism. What at first glance seems like chaos and haphazard - the system is; Strizh canvases are united by a special presentation - as if in close-up. A kind of deliberate cinematography, when the object (which Natalya always has a subject) is as close as possible not only to the viewer's eyes but also to his heart" (from newspapers).

Apparently, I have something in my nature - to seek. I felt that expression, bright colors, decorativeness are mine, today I really want to express myself. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. There were heaven and water, today it is dancing: Brazilian carnival and Russian disco.

I prefer to work in large formats. My compositions are partly abstract, partly figurative, fanned by a romantic feeling. The form appears on the verge of these manners and leaves the viewer a lot of opportunities to admire their own associations.
