Biography
Sergey Vladimirovich Lymar is a graduate of the Art and Graphic Faculty of Kuban State University. Member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation and the International Organization UNESCO. Honored Artist of Kuban. Since 1992 he has been working at the Department of Painting of Kuban State University. Currently, he is an associate professor of the Painting Department of the Kuban State University, successfully combining the work of a teacher–teacher with creativity. Participant of more than seventy exhibitions of international, national and regional levels. Laureate of four international art exhibitions and competitions (2008, Krasnodar, Russia; 2019, Copenhagen, Denmark; 2022, Ciacak, Serbia; 2022, Krasnodar, Russia). Laureate of the VII Regional professional competition of fine arts of the Biennale (2005); winner of the I All-Russian Competition of Fine Arts "Images of History" in the nomination "small towns of Russia" (2014). The artist's paintings are in the collections of several art museums and galleries, as well as private collections in Russia, France, Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, the Czech Republic, China, Serbia.
The life and work of S.V. Lymar is closely connected with the Kuban. Sergey Vladimirovich was born on October 12, 1959 in the city of Korenovsk. It was here that the first impressions appeared, which later formed the direction of the future artist's creativity. After serving in the army, Sergey Vladimirovich graduated from the Art and Graphic Faculty of the Kuban State University and worked for several years as a teacher of painting and drawing in the Far East in Blagoveshchensk-on-Amur. The artist works creatively in various painting genres - landscape, still life, genre composition.
