Mia's graphic design background as well as her deep interest in subconsciousness
shapes her current abstract and expressionist painting style. She takes her inspiration
from the beauty of nature and architecture.
Constantly moving around the world in the past, her work is a pure reflection of
complexities and contrasts that she had faced on the road. Mia uses different types of
media, usually choosing a pure unprimed linen base for the softer and more exotic
finish. She experiments with color and form integrating them into a unique
composition. Her method involves both planning and spontaneous side, which
ultimately brings the right balance to the work.
“In the world of distorted mirrors where the truth is blurred and hidden between the
lines I let my paintings speak out for me. Spirit to spirit, mind to mind”.
