The Shattering of Illusions

This is the moment when the familiar picture of the world can no longer withstand the tension and falls apart. It is a point of clarity. The image, assembled from mirror fragments, symbolizes thinking and perception, composed of reflections of other peoples expectations, fears, and imposed scenarios. The mirror here is a metaphor for illusions: it reflects beautifully, but has no essence of its own. When a persons energy intensifies, these reflections cease to be whole, they crack, scatter, and lose their power. In the series “Evolution of Awakening,” this painting occupies the place of inner awakening, between accumulated energy and conscious action.
