In Slavic mythology, the bird of paradise Sirin is a mystical image of the Bird-maiden, who appeared among people and sang with a magical voice. Her songs are cheerful and beautiful, they promised unearthly joys, but at the same time they were deadly dangerous, which, obviously, makes her related to the image of the sea maidens of the sirens, who lured sailors into the depths of the sea. Her amazing image combined the divine essence and hidden powers.
