This painting depicts a landscape near a small pond in the Moscow region at the end of November.
The author managed to catch the moment when gaps formed in the clouds, and the sun illuminated both the sky and the earth, giving them unexpected warmth at this time.
The artist conveys the interaction of light and shadow, heat and cold. Cold and warm hues met in the sky, bizarrely mixed and reflected in the icy matte surface of the reservoir.
