Biography


LEONID SHERESHEVSKIY (1948–2023) is a ceramist whose works include monumental ceramic panels, garden compositions and chamber sculptures. In 1972 he graduated from the Ceramics Department, Vera Mukhina School of Art and Industry (Leningrad), where his teacher was professor V. Vasilkovskiy. In 1977 he became a fellow of the Artists’ Union. Leonid Shereshevskiy has participated in international ceramics exhibitions in Faènza (Italy), Westerwald and Stuttgart (Germany) and in the international garden sculpture workshop in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). He has also taken part in the ceramists’ creative teamwork in Dzintari (Latvia). His works are kept in Samara Museum of Fine Arts, Galina Vishnevskaya’s collection and other private and corporate collections.
