Biography
ied at Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts. In 1991 he earned his master's degree from the
Russian Academy of Arts. He repeatedly participated in national competitions. As a result, his
monumental sculptures were erected in several cities, namely in Yerevan, Armenia (the sculp-
ture of the Armenian historian of the 5th century M.Khorenatsi), as well as in Moscow, Russia,
where two park sculptures are installed ("Lady with a Dog" and "Man playing with a cat") and
in Navoi (composition "Family").
In his works Ashot uses materials such as granite, marble, agate, obsidian, wood, tuf,
bronze. In addition to monumental sculptures, he makes small scale sculptures. Some of his
small scale works are in private collections of cultural and political figures (e.g. conductor V.
Spivakov, Mayor of Moscow, presidents of such countries as Argentina, Romania, Poland, etc.).
Since 2002 he lives in Moscow.
From 2008-2015 he was engaged in the restoration of old buildings in Moscow. However, in
recent years he has returned to his favorite activity - sculpture.
