Biography


Artist Vera Ustinova was born on March 13, 1971 in a small town in Siberia. Vera's mother was a mathematics teacher, and her father was a mechanic. A great influence was her father, who was a naturally creative person and felt the nature of his native land. At every opportunity, Vera created paintings and sculptures. She studied at art school.
After graduating from high school, she decided to connect her life with art and entered an art school in the Kemerovo region. In 1991 she received a specialty as an artist-teacher and received a diploma with honors. She began her professional career teaching at an art school in her hometown.
In 1999, the artist moved to the Vologda region and continued to work as a teacher at an art school. Her students took an active part in various regional and interregional exhibitions and events, many of them were awarded. Vera Ustinova also has diplomas for training competition winners and documents on participation in seminars and conferences:
1999 Certificate for participation in the regional seminar "Main aspects of preparing applicants for admission to art colleges"
Diploma in 2000 for creative activity and the high level of training of talented children at the Interregional Creative Arts School for genius children.

In 2009, Vera Ustinova moved to St. Petersburg to develop her talent as an artist. In her new residence, she began collaborating with museums and art galleries.
From 2009 to 2020, she worked as a ceramic artist, creating clay souvenirs on the theme of St. Petersburg. Many of her works are in private collections both in Russia and in other countries.
In 2015 he became a member of the International Guild of Craftsmen.
Diploma of the International Guild of Craftsmen in 2015 for the author’s exhibition of ceramic panels “Constellation of St. Petersburg”, exhibited at the Russian Lefty Museum.
Diploma of the International Guild of Craftsmen for 2015 for a master class on ceramics, organized on Russia Day at the Russian Left-Handed Museum. Collectively, with the participation of museum visitors, a ceramic map of Russia was created.

In 2017, Vera opened a workshop for the production of ceramic souvenirs, but in 2020, due to the pandemic, she closed the production of ceramic products and devoted herself to a new project, the results of which are presented on the pages of the website.
The master develops new working techniques and creates unique ceramic paintings. Each work is a reflection of her inner world, her thoughts and feelings.
