Biography
Olga Balashova is a contemporary artist living and working in Moscow. She primarily works in oil painting.
Her interest in art developed at an early age under the influence of her family environment. Through her father, who had a strong interest in the history of painting, she became acquainted with reproductions of works by major artists, which contributed to the formation of her visual perception.
Since 2013, she has maintained an active artistic practice, studying at art schools and studios in Moscow. She has participated in group exhibitions, including a presentation at the Central House of Artists. Her works have also been used in calendar publications.
Her artistic language develops in dialogue with the traditions of Impressionism and contemporary painting. Her practice focuses on the exploration of color as an autonomous expressive element capable of conveying emotional states beyond direct representation.
