Biography
Svetlana Guseva — artist, designer-decorator, member of the Union of Designers of Russia.
Born in Yoshkar‑Ola (Republic of Mari El) on December 26, 1973.
In 1999 she graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology at Mari State University; in 2006 - PhD of Philological Sciences.
In 2015 she co‑founded a business partnership in the fields of branding, marketing and advertising. At the same time she became interested in interior design and decoration and began to paint actively.
In 2022 she completed training on the online platform Skillbox in the “Interior Designer‑Decorator” program.
In 2023, together with members of the regional Union of Designers, she organized the lecture series “PROdesign in Plain Words,” which included public lectures and master classes.
Since 2023 she has been actively participating in group exhibitions. In 2025 she served as co‑curator of the exhibition art season “The Word Has Come” at the Cultural and Exhibition Center “Bashnya” (Yoshkar‑Ola).
She works across various media (painting, graphics, digital art). Her philological background is manifested in her works. In her paintings Svetlana tells stories — sweet, sometimes pleasantly nostalgic, warm and vivid. She playfully calls her style the “lamplight style.”
