Piet Oudolf's Garden

The inspiration for the painting was the design landscape in the style of "new wave", which arose thanks to Piet Oudolf. Fans of such landscapes made his name a household word. They are more reminiscent of the mixed-grass meadows of central Russia, although Piet was born in 1944 in Haarlem (Holland). Multi-level plants create a dense carpet in which each culture is simultaneously similar and different from its neighbor in texture and shape.
