"150 Days from Earth" is my new painting, which continues to recharge me with the energy of the 1970s, where acrylic worlds pulsate like the synthesizers of an old Kraftwerk track*.
Inside, a mixture of solar wind, dreams of Mars, and a ton of questions...
- Planets: turquoise + purple + raspberry = an explosion of hypercolor—like the thoughts of Ziggy Stardust* (David Bowie) as he flew to Earth. Cosmic retro nostalgia!
- She: a hologram from dreams, a cipher girl in a transparent helmet, like a time capsule from a future that never happened.
- They: abstract figures, like aliens or the ghosts of old computers from the cover of an old psychedelic record. You can hear them whispering in a language even Google Translate doesnt understand.
Why isnt this just a painting?
My retro-futurism on canvas is a dialogue between the past, where people believed in flying cities, and the present, where we still seek beauty in chaos. If you wear silver jumpsuits in your dreams, or see prophecies in old sci-fi magazines, then this painting is for you!
And now a question:
If this painting were played as music, what track would it be? Share your associations in the comments! And yes, you can poke it with your finger—acrylic is stronger than our perceptions of reality.
P.S. Yes, the helmet is transparent. But the thoughts inside are more secret than the Space Shuttle blueprints from 1973.
