The Spirit of the Forest

The end of summer is the beginning of autumn, the period when there is an abundance of various mushrooms in the forest, and the first yellow leaves appeared on the trees. A still life filled with a deep autumnal atmosphere is spread out on the canvas, as if coming to life under the movement of a palette knife.

Mushrooms, covered with a fine texture, shimmer with shades of ochre and umber. The bark of the tree, rough and textured, adds natural power to the painting, its veins and cracks seem to tell the stories of the past years.
