Biography
Born on March 22, 1937 in the city of Novy Donbass, Stalin region, USSR. Since 1960, he has lived and worked in the Crimea, the city of Simferopol. He mastered the basics of drawing and the technique of oil painting in the studios of amateur artists. I worked a lot on my own. From 1969 to 1979 he studied with the Simferopol artist and teacher Ivan Ignatievich Gorbach. In 1970, for the first time he became a participant of the regional exhibition of artists of the Crimea. He has held several solo exhibitions: in Simferopol (1986-1987, 1993), Krasnoperekopsk (Crimea, 1987), Istanbul (1993, 2004). Participated in All-Union, many republican and international exhibitions. In 1988 he was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. From 1993 to 2005, he repeatedly worked in the city of Istanbul and its environs: Kemer, Antalya and other places in Turkey. Over the years of his creative activity, the Artist has created a unique highly artistic gallery of Crimean landscapes, united into a single whole by his inner spiritual world and talent. The Artist's works were purchased by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, are in the funds of the Simferopol Art Museum, are in private collections in Russia, England, Germany, Holland, Turkey, Sweden and other countries.
Leshchenko V.A. is included in the unified register of professional artists of the Russian Empire, the USSR, the "Russian Abroad", the Russian Federation and the Republics of the former Soviet Union (XVIII – XXI centuries). He died in February 2016.
