Kostygin Roman

Biography

Kostygin Roman is a hereditary artist. Roman’s grandmother, Lyubov Panina, was a famous milliner in Moscow. His father, Kostygin Vladimir Nikolaevich, worked as a head artist at a toy factory “Ogonyok” for 38 years. When Roman was in primary school, his father took him to an art studio where his son took passionate interest in painting and started drawing whenever and wherever.
Roman graduated with honors from Moscow State Pedagogical University. He studies essentials of pedagogy and child psychology. He paints in oils a lot. He studies meticulously multilayer technique of old artists, makes copies. At that period, Roman improves his landscape painting technique. Later he enters artistic-graphic faculty of Moscow Social Pedagogical University. This is the time when Roman draws landscapes to sell them in Europe.
Roman enters the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. The artist works a lot and fruitfully and participates in collective exhibitions. At the competition-festival "Ethno-Art-Fest" in London he takes second place and a silver diploma, and later he exhibits in the Republic of Cyprus.
The artist begins a series of works on children's subjects. He is captured by genre painting, where the main participant is a child. His paintings are full of affection, love and tenderness. The author is known to the audience for such works as “Helper Has Grown Up”, “New Life”, “A Moment Before Happiness” and others.
In 2019, Roman becomes a member of the International Art Fund where he has new acquaintances, venues for exhibitions and opportunity to find contact with the audience.
The artist is distinguished by perfectionism, hard work and devotion to his work, he is an excellent teacher, who brought up a number of graphic artists, illustrators and designers.
