Shuktugan

"The sun has risen, warmed the earth. Flowers bloomed in the forest, in the glades: blue, yellow, pink. And now a restless bee is circling, buzzing over the flower, and butterflies are tumbling in the transparent air.
The squirrel jumped from branch to branch, collecting nuts. A fox is hiding behind a bush, waiting for a hare. In the dense thickets of raspberries, a club-footed bear eats berries.
An old woodpecker Tuk-Tuk-babai woke up on a tall pine tree near the lake. The beak of the Tuk-Tuk-babai is sharp and heavy. He made a nest for himself in the hollow of an old pine tree. Lives here in winter and summer.
Tuk-Tuk-babai treats trees in the forest. It pecks the bark with its beak, pulls bark beetles out from under it, collects caterpillars.
Together with Tuk-Tuk-babai lives his little grandson — woodpecker Shuktugan.
Every morning, as soon as the sun rises and the bat flies off to sleep, Tuk-Tuk-babai gets to work: tapping trees, looking to see if any of them are sick, if there are beetles-grinders and bark beetles in it.
Grandfather Tuk-Tuk-babai works until the evening.And his grandson Shuktugan plays all day: jumping from branch to branch, chasing butterflies, scaring lizards. And if it gets hot, hell swim in the lake..."
