Early spring in the Alexander Garden of St. Petersburg

This sketch was painted in the Alexander Garden of St. Petersburg in early April, when the last remnants of snow are melting on the ground, and the trees are pulling their thin branches towards the blue heights of the clear sky. St. Isaacs Cathedral and bright yellow houses can be seen through the garden. A beautiful spring day after a long winter.
