Inspiration

Flowers inspire me. Always. Flowers for me are something intangible, something beautiful, exciting and pleasant. At every moment in time, I turn to different colors. It all depends on the season, the day, the mood and the state of my soul. And when I draw a flower, its as if Im trying to get in touch with the soul of this beautiful creation of nature. Its like Im trying to become that flower myself for a while.
I kept thinking why I want to capture flowers on canvas so much. And quite recently, I realized for myself that on canvas I strive to express, show the qualities inherent in us, women. This is timidity and assertiveness, and somewhere even insolence. Smoothness, suppleness and suddenly rigidity. Tenderness, but also aggressiveness, and protection of their boundaries, if necessary. This is childish gullibility and openness, but also mystery, and perhaps the magic of seduction. All the beauty and versatility of the female soul can be described endlessly.
