When I wrote the study for this picture, and it was Saturday, the weather was calm and overcast. It was already snowing, but the water was still warm and the timid ice was still visible only near the shore. And having already begun to work, the blizzard began to deal with, filling the palette with small snow needles. I was already thinking about going home, as the weather calmed down again. But then it was a sketch. I was driving home with the thought of how great it would be to warm up at home, especially on Saturday, a bath day! I love plein air on Saturday!
