In April at the Edge"
Canvas (linen Italy Lanificio Prato), oil, 35x35, 2023
Barely penetrating greenery from under the cosmos of withered last years grass, splashes of pecked leaves and a chorus of spring birds that sounded like a flooding stream in the crowns, met me on a clear April morning in the Tamaevskaya birch grove. I come back here from time to time, and its not only the local beauty that draws me here. The Tamaevsky forest is woven into my earliest childhood memories associated with Shatovka, where I spent my early childhood.
