New Year's morning

New Years morning.
In the frosty haze
the light barely breaks through.
The area is drowning in snow and frost,
there is not a soul and silence reigns.

The windows of the neighboring house are lit,
there people have risen from a short sleep,
or perhaps they did not go to bed,
after all, the country was celebrating the New Year.

The night died down with the thunder of fireworks,
the holiday is over, its time to rest.
We saw out the year and celebrated the New Year,
life goes on. And thats the whole point!
