Biography
Gennady Kurochkin was born in 1940 in a family of an artist.
He graduated from the Highest Leningrad Art School named under V.I.Mukhina (currently St. Petersburg State Art and Industry Academy named under Stieglitz) in 1967 with honors diploma.
Gennady was participant in the International and All-Union (USSR), Republican and Moscow art exhibitions. He acted as Art director in exhibitions in Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine, Vietnam and Western Berlin.
G. Kurochkin has been member of the Union of Artists since 1982.
His works are part of private collections in the USA, India, Turkey, Spain, Slovenia.
The latest exhibition Gennady took part is "The Soviet Russia" which took place in Moscow, Russia, 1990.
But participation or non-participation in exhibitions do not define internal demand for creativity. Therefore more than 300 canvases are representing Gennady’s reflection to the long artistic life. These are canvases of artistic personal interpretation to be windows to other worlds.
