Petar worked in the "Russian House", where we lived.
When he asked me to paint his portrait, I was very happy for many reasons. And because the person was cute, and because the features of his face were large and sharp, I could wave with a brush from the heart.. We worked in the evening, the setting sun brightly gilded his face, though he was forced to squint. The green of plane trees sang her emerald song, shading the bright colors of his face and clothes with contrasting reflexes.. But we had to hurry up before the sun went down.
