Self Portrait with Vietnamese Dragon

My friend brought from Vietnam photos of colorful dragons from Buddhist monasteries, they were impressive for their ingenuity. But what prompted me to paint such a picture, for the life of me I dont remember.
The picture is inserted in a red-brown frame, hand-painted with gold acrylic paint.
The size in the frame is 67x47 cm.
