Sketch from nature
It was getting dark. Lanterns illuminated the hotel fence and bougainvillea flowers. The moon rose high and silvered the surface of the sea.
... I already was painting the second study. An Arab guy stopped next to me: tall, lithe, and handsome to the point of insanity. He stood a meter and a half away, looked with glittering coal eyes and said nothing. I felt the strongest temptation to invite him to pose for a portrait, but I decided not to look for adventures. Other Arabs walked by, small and in turbans. They stared at me, then gazed at the guy and silently - by. "Hey," I thought. "Why, he is guarding me unwittingly! Or at ease?" Meanwhile, it got completely dark. The young Arab was still standing. In the darkness, he would not have been visible if it were not for the glint of his eyes. Somehow he disappeared unnoticed. Eh, I still regret not having painted his portrait!
Decorated in a thin pine frame in natural color with a sheet of protective plastic.
