Girl in Khevsur costume, from life and from a photo
Author: Dobrovolskaya Gayane

canvas/oil 60cm x 40cm 2024
The portrait was painted from life. Or rather, it was started from life and finished from a photograph.
In March I was in the open air in Tbilisi. In addition to landscapes, we also painted portraits of local residents. One day, the granddaughter of the hotel owner posed for us in a national Khevsur costume, a very beautiful teenage girl.
In the additional photographs you can see on the first one: how it looked in nature, and on the second one: how much I managed to paint from life in two hours.
