Zvenigorod, the Tsaritsyn Chambers in the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery

In the time of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery was a summer royal residence. The tsar and the tsarina were located in different chambers.
In our time, the tsars residence seemed to me too well restored. But the decor of the tsarinas mansion, which now houses an art gallery, has preserved many ancient elements and evoked some exciting sensations that I often get at the sight of real antiquities.
It seemed to me that the spirit of Tsarina Maria Miloslavskaya can still hover under the ancient arches, looking condescendingly at our contemporaries entering the gallery.
Since the exhibition hall was on the territory of the monastery, we had to put on chlamydia-like skirts before the tour, as it is customary in monasteries.
