Suzdal, ancient gate

A sketch from nature, painted in Suzdal on Lebedev Street (formerly Afanasyevskaya) near house number nine.
I made my way along the path between houses and the jungle that grew on the lawns. And I discovered this wonderful gate, with expressive wooden carvings, with old stone pillars lopsided on the sides of the gate.
I sat down to paint... Lilac growing like a solid wall and other botany plunged the street into darkness in the middle of the day.
From time to time, Suzdal guides with two or three excursionists appeared from the bushes... I listened to several stories about the gate ...
According to one version, the movie "The Marriage of Balzaminov" was being filmed somewhere in the yard. According to another version, a character from the film "Snowstorm" left this gate before the wedding.
