Alkonost. Winter solstice

Legends tell that the Alkonost lays eggs in the depths of the sea in the middle of winter (or during the winter solstice). The eggs are 7 days in the depth and then float to the surface. During this time, the sea is calm. Then the Alkonost takes the eggs and incubates them on the shore.
