Andronikov viaduct, (Syromyatnicheskaya embankment) built in 1865.
It connects the two banks of the Yauza River near the Spaso-Andronikov Monastery. The monastery was founded in 1357 by Metropolitan Alexy of Moscow and named after the first abbot, Andronik, a disciple of Sergius of Radonezh.
The author of the original project could not be found. The bridge underwent two reconstructions in 1888 and in 1951. After the latter, an arch for cars appeared before there were three arches and the riverbed fit into one central span.
The bridge resembles an ancient aqueduct and is very picturesque. In confirmation of this, there are several roles in the domestic cinema.
"Cranes are Flying" (1957), "Im 20 years old" (Ilyichs Outpost) (1965), "The meeting place cannot be changed" (1979), "Pokrovsky Gate" (1982), "Retro Threesome" (1998).
