Krivokolenny Lane, the name fully reflects its bizarre shape. Like most Moscow streets, it has its own interesting stories.

One of the scenes of the k/f "Pokrovsky Gate", filmed just at this intersection of three lanes of Krivokolenny, Arkhangelsk and Potapovsky, Velyurov catches a car to take Khobotov to the hospital "cut to hell! without waiting for peritonitis!".
In the picture, right in front of the viewer is the house No. 9, in which the actor Georgy Mikhailovich Vitsin lived.
Another remarkable historical fact is connected with the house No. 11/13, it was built in 1836, was originally two-storeyed. Since 1888, the artist Vasily Polenov lived in the house, he often hosted "drawing evenings", and artists Mikhail Vrubel, Alexander Golovin, Sergei Ivanov, Mikhail Nesterov, Ilya Ostroukhov were frequent guests in the house.
