Country of Lakes

Sunny autumn day. Blue lakes, islets, covered with forests, clear blue sky. The pointed tops of dark fir trees stretch towards the clouds. Autumn is covered by gold the dense grass and foliage of birches. A narrow path descends from the hills, lost in the grass. Far away in the waters of a wide lake, clouds are reflected. This sketch was created by the artist Mark Kremer in the open air in 1999 in Karelia - the country of lakes.
