Romanova Svetlana
Artist, designer and teacher from St. Petersburg./ Russia

🟥 PAINTING
I have been painting with oil, acrylic and watercolor for many years.
Having received a classical education as an artist, I first painted in an academic manner. Then I copied a lot of old masters, studying the multi-layered technique of painting.
But I also continue to search for my own style, experiment with textures and materials.
I participate in group exhibitions in Russia and abroad, and have had personal exhibitions.
Since 2003, I have been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.

🟧 STAINED GLASS and DECORATIVE GLASS
At the same time, I was creating stained glass for interiors, since my second professional education after painting is a diploma in glass and ceramics from the Stieglitz Academy
This is both the classic technique of soldered stained glass and the more modern fusing.
I develop sketches, which makes the stained glass an original work.
For almost 30 years of working with glass, I have created dozens of stained glass windows for the interiors of St. Petersburg and Moscow.
A separate topic is the production of decorative items from glass - dishes, candlesticks, pendants, etc.

🟦 PORCELAIN
Painting porcelain for me is a switch to another material. Vases, dishes, and sets for exhibitions and to order were created.
A separate topic was the development of new porcelain replicas based on the Wedgwood service with a green frog for the Chesme Palace on the forms of the Imperial Porcelain Factory,

🟧CERAMICS
I create dishes, ceramic panels and other forms.
I am a frequent participant in the festival "Glass and ceramics in the landscape".
In 2020, I was part of the Russian delegation of artists in Paris at the ART CAPITAL exhibition.
