Soldatov Boris

Biography

Boris Soldatov graduated from the Kemerovo Art College in 1990. Then he worked in the Workshop of Monumental Art LLC from 1990 to 1994 under the supervision of Evgeny Tishchenko, one of the leading artists of monumental and decorative art in the Kemerovo area. From that moment on, mosaic became a field of his special interest, despite the fact that his main activity was connected with outdoor advertising production.
The artist's first solo exhibition took place in 1995 at the Kemerovo Actor's House. Later he participated in various collective exhibitions of the Kemerovo Union of Artists. From 2015 to 2020 he studied at the Kemerovo State University of Culture in the of Folk Art Culture faculty and graduated with a bachelor's degree.
The field of the artist's activity is monumental painting, mosaics and interior design. In his artistic works the artist uses the author's mixed techniques and bricolage. This applies to works on canvas, mosaics, graphics and decorative works. He combines various materials, natural ones in general. The creative interest and focus of the artist are represented in symbolic compositions, abstractions, and decorative stylizations.
