The veil of time

Sometimes it happens that a subtle aroma in the air, or a muffled third-party sound, or an unfamiliar voice suddenly transfers consciousness to times long past. It can last for a moment or stretch over time. But it always fascinates with its reality. This is not a repetition of the past, nothing happens, but the sounds, smells, light, even the air suddenly become the same as many, many years ago. The veil of time has been lifted.
