Recently, I have been attracted by the topic of artistic research of allegories, which associations I have with a certain phenomenon, word, object. And for my next study, this time I chose a color, namely orange. What do I associate it with? With oranges. Orange is a symbol of pure love, as well as fate, fate, and in many cultures - fertility and marriage. In Christianity, the orange tree is associated with the Tree of Knowledge. Green rue symbolizes innocence, it has the ability to protect from evil spirits. There was an image of a girl with orange-tree crown hair, in a dress made of delicate fleur dorange flowers. Then there were Harlequin and Columbine - the characters of the Italian Commedia dellarte, and what should they, natives of sunny Italy, juggle, if not with oranges. A juggler is an image of the dual nature of a person, because his choice can lean towards both good and evil. Tightrope walkers show the position of a person between God and the world.
The golden background in the painting is an allegory of heavenly light.
A persons life is a way of knowing this world and his soul, and his choice of what fruits to collect on this path - kindness, wisdom, sincerity, courage or deceitfulness, stupidity, cruelty.
So, from the starting point - an association on the theme of orange, I came to think about the nature of man and his place in the world.
