Toratau

Toratau — shikhan, a solitary mountain in the Ishimbai district of Bashkortostan, a symbol of the city of Ishimbai and Ishimbai district, imprinted on the coat of arms and flag of the city and district. An archaeological monument, subject to protection as a monument of national significance, since 1960, a natural monument since 1965, a unique geological object included in the List of Geological Heritage of World Significance "GEOSITES". It is part of the Toratau geopark.
